Thinking and doing

So, I've been doing by a lot of thinking lately. I feel like I am just falling behind. Overwhelmed. Taking on, maybe not too much, but not focusing on the things I really want to. Overthinking things. I've been thinking its time for me to simplify a little bit. Focus more on the things that bring me joy, and try to live in the moment more. I am most definitely a type A personality. I try to get ahead of myself and plan months in advance, try to figure out what all I can squeeze in to a day, take on ALL of the responsibilities. So all that said, I am going to try my best to get on here and blog a little everyday. It may not always be running or racing, it may be crafting, food or life in general...ok, let's be honest, it will probably be a mix of everything. I just have so much floating around my head, and I would like to be to get it out by writing it down. I honestly don't know how many readers I have either, so I figure what the heck, just start writing away and if the followers develop, cool! If not, I know just the therapeutic process of writing is going to help me anyway.

So, what's happening in my corner of the world. Let's see....

I did complete my SuperMOM half marathon early in the month. I finished in 2:15:27. Not a lifetime PR, but a PR since reclaiming my life and my Master's PR, so I'm happy!! It wasn't an easy one...I ended up running it on the hottest day of the month, but I know if I can run it in that kind of weather, I'll kick butt when it's more runner friendly!

I also ran my Girls Run the World virtual 10k. I was able to set a PR with that one. I can now say I'm officially a member of the sub one hour 10k club :) This was the first race I did through Flex It Pink, and it was wonderful!! The shirt and medal are great quality, they mailed the packets out before race day so I was able to run in the race shirt, and the extra goodies they included with the entry were very nice as well. I would most definitely recommend entering a race through them.

Right now I am trying to talk myself  out of signing up for a local 5k this Saturday. It's so tempting, but I keep reminding myself that my budget really only allows for about 2 races a month and I already did my two for May and I'm already signed up for two in June. I guess I'll make a note for next year ;)

I'm also working on using up my small craft store's worth of craft supplies so I can try to de-clutter my house. I keep playing with the idea of reopening my ETSY store or just gathering up all the finished items I have and attending a local craft show. It's something to put some thought into. Until then I'm just going to keep creating.

So there you go, just a little glimpse of the goings on here right now. Since I've decided to go in a slightly different, more relaxed direction I look forward to chatting and sharing with you more.

Until next time, run lots, live happy, and smile bunches...life is good!!
